Honduras bans 2 on a bike in move to beat crime
Honduras has moved towards banning passengers on motorcycles in a bid to crack down on crime.
The BBC reported the country's Congress will now make two people riding on a bike illegal, limiting to 1 the number of passengers per motorcycle.
The move comes after two high-profile murders in the past week, with officials blaming motorcycle-borne gunmen for both crimes.
Honduras has the world's highest crime rate - 82 per 100,000 people a year, according the BBC report.
The new law will last for six months and was requested by President Porfirio Lobo's government, which is facing rising incidents of crime.
