Gaga hatches another wow entrance

Feb. 14: They say don’t count your chickens before they hatch, but one could pardon Lady Gaga for counting her Grammys before she herself hatched from an enormous egg at the awards gala in Los Angeles, Sunday night.

The singer was transported along the red carpet in the oval structure, before emerging from inside the egg to perform her new single Born This Way during the ceremony.

In a message on Twitter, a member of Lady Gaga's Haus of Gaga had explained that the singer was “in incubation”. Kelly Osbourne, who was on the red carpet, teased details about Lady Gaga’s arrival, telling her followers that they would “not believe their eyes” when they saw TV footage.

But fans were left divided on YouTube, where videos of the star's Grammy performance were posted. One fan, Annridl, said it would be “bloody epic”, while others continued to draw comparisons between Lady Gaga and Madonna.
