French First Lady Carla Bruni confirms she’s pregnant

French First Lady Carla Bruni has confirmed that she is expecting a child with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Bruni, 43, who already has a 10-year-old son, revealed in an interview with newspaper Nice Matin that she had kept the news secret for so long because she and her husband were already 'so media-exposed'.

As for the sex of the baby, that remains a mystery even to her, and even the due date is unknown.

“There are things that must be kept secret!” the New York Daily News quoted her as telling the paper.
