Five killed in blast at Pakistan shrine
At least five people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a bomb blast Sunday near a shrine in Nowshera town of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Xinhua reported.
A remote-controlled bomb was planted on a bicycle in front of the main gate of Ziarat Kaka Sahib shrine, police said.
A large number of people had gathered Sunday on the occasion of Eid.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik condemned the blast which took place at a time when Pakistanis are celebrating a three-day Eid holiday Oct 27-29.
According to local media, the injured people were facing problem since most of the doctors remained off-duty due to holidays.
