Cops explores suspicious package to Giffords
Washington: Authorities in the US city of Tucson are investigating a suspicious package sent to Representative Gabrielle Giffords' local office before she was shot and wounded, Fox News reported late on Saturday.
The report said the package looked like a coffee can, but offered no other details.
Giffords, a Democrat, was in critical condition after being shot in the head on Saturday by a gunman in Tucson, Arizona, in an attack that killed six, including a federal judge and a nine-year-old girl.
President Barack Obama called the attack on Giffords a 'tragedy for our entire country,' while police said the gunman may not have acted alone.
