China's n-tunnels found?
A team of Georgetown University students have unearthed what a report claims is China's 'Underground Great Wall'.
The Washington Post report said the 'small band of students' have found what appears to be a vast network of tunnels - stretching thousands of miles - dug by the Second Artillery Corps, a top secret division of the Chinese military in charge of nuclear deployment.
The students' research, spanning a period of three years, is now the 'largest body of public knowlegde' on the tunnel network, Washington Post said.
The study also claims that China's nuclear arsenal 'could be many times larger' than estimated by world watchdogs.
The students used satellite imagery, combed through years of documented evidence and even managed to get classified Chinese military documents, the report claimed.
The study is awaiting release.
