Carla Bruni portrayed as 'female Don Juan' in biography
France's First Lady Ms Carla Bruni has been branded a "female Don Juan" who humiliated her husband President, Mr Nicolas Sarkozy, by making her socialise with her three former lovers. The unflattering picture of the former Italian super- model has been portrayed in an unauthorised biography, 'Carla, A Secret Life', which claimed the 42-year-old hasn't changed her fast-living ways and is in touch with former paramours. This is despite the Elysee Palace assigning a presidential adviser to help rebrand Bruni whose former lovers include rock stars Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton, as a demure political wife, the British media reported. The book claims that on the couple's first summer holiday at Bruni-Sarkozy's £2 million Riviera villa last year, the French First Lady invited three former partners as house guests. "Since he married the woman that some called a 'man-eater', (Mr Sarkozy) has to put up every day with this burdensome tribe. Singers, philosophers, lawyers, bosses, men of the press or politics," the book says. Ms Bruni had finally met her match in her marriage to Sarkozy with a "man even more unpredictable than her",it adds. In the book, author Besma Lahouri, an investigative journalist, has also alleged Ms Bruni has had extensive plastic surgery despite denials and had a 20-year relationship with a Paris surgeon.
