British woman frustrated with Mumbai call
London, Jan. 22: A British woman who was connected to a Mumbai call centre of a service provider for some clarification had to hang up in despair: neither could she get what the call centre staffers said, nor could the latter catch her accent.
Ms Viv Tomkins, 59, was told that the call centre staffers could not get her accent. “I couldn’t believe the cheek of it,” she said. “I’ve got a twang, but I speak the Queen’s English.”
