Bin Laden death won't stop war’: Ex Guantanamo Bay detainee
The death of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden will not end the war on terror and there is no evidence he masterminded the September 11 attacks, said former Guantanamo Bay detainee Mamdouh Habib.
"America is the war on terror, George Bush is the war on terror", the Herald Sun quoted Habib, as saying.
"What, you think with Osama bin Laden dying, there won't be war any more?” he added.
Habib further said there was no evidence to prove Osama was a terrorist.
US President Barack Obama has announced today that Osama bin Laden has been killed by US forces in Pakistan.
"I can report to the American people and to the world, that the US has conducted an operation that killed Osama Bin Laden, he said at a hastily-organised news conference at the White House.
Osama’s death will not only be seen as a major blow to Al-Qaeda, but will also raise fears of reprisal attacks.
