Assange salutes 'courage' shown by Ecuador
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, appearing on the balcony of Ecuador's London embassy on Sunday, praised the 'courage' shown by the South American nation's President for granting him asylum.
"I thank President (Rafael) Correa for the courage he has shown in considering and in granting me political asylum," Assange told the world's media gathered outside the embassy, as he also thanked all of his supporters.
