Army jawan killed as Pak troops fire

Jammu: In a breach of truce by Pakistan troops, which resorted to unprovoked heavy firing on Indian posts in Krishna Ghati sector of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district, an Army jawan died on Sunday evening.

Pakistan troops used RPG and mortars to attack Indian post and in the gunfire, an Army jawan identified as Maurya Sachdev of 17 Mahar Regiment sustained critical injuries.

Defence spokesperson said the unprovoked firing from Pakistan targeting Nangi Tekri began at 5.30 pm.
