Anti-baldness drug may affect libido
London, Dec. 21: Some doctors have claimed that young men could be jeopardising their sexual health by taking the world’s best selling anti-baldness drug.
According to experts, finasteride — sold in UK as Propecia — can cause serious side effects and that the drug’s labelling is inadequate though the drug is very effective: in trials nine out of 10 men didn’t lose any more hair over a five-year period.
In another research, experts questioned the efficacy of statins, cholesterol-lowering drugs, as their study found that it is was it’s our calcium levels, not cholesterol, that really matter.
