Afghan President calls for probe into civilian deaths
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has ordered an investigation into the deaths of "a number" of civilians in a rocket attack in southern Afghanistan, his spokesman told AFP
on Monday.
The rocket attack took place on a village in the Sangin area of Helmand rovince on Friday, said Siddiq Siddiqi. An unspecified number of Afghan civilians,
including women and children, were killed in the attack, he said. "The attack took place, but we don't have more information. That will be clarified by the National Security Council, which is investigating the incident", he said.
