2 missing as Philippine military helicopter crashes

Two pilots are missing after a Philippine military helicopter crashed at sea on Tuesday, the navy said.

Rescuers pulled three survivors from waters just off the southern port of Zamboanga after the Bolkov helicopter crashed during a training exercise, navy spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Edgard Arevalo told reporters in Manila.

Three navy vessels taking part in the exercise were searching for the pilot and co-pilot, he added.

Arevalo said the cause of the crash was being investigated.
