Youth stabs girlfriend’s kin to death

A youth stabbed his girlfriend’s elder brother to death for rebuking her in front of him.
The incident took place at Uluberia in Howrah on Saturday. Sheikh Shamim Mondal, the accused, took her teenaged girlfriend to a fair in the evening. They were in a relationship for over six months, according to the local residents.

Incidentally the girl’s elder brother Sukur Mullik found the duo there.
Furious he first scolded her for lack of concentration on studies and then slapped her. Shamim was
present there. Humiliated the girl left the spot. Shamim later attacked Sukur with his three aides with a dagger at a ground and chopped him to death, preliminary investigations
revealed. Probing
the case, the local police, however, found that their girl was present during the killing of his brother. She has been detained for
questioning.
The body was sent for post-mortem. A case against Shamim and his associates has been started on murder charge. The accused are absconding.
