Yeddyurappa will reply to MHA advisory
Karnataka chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa will soon send a reply to the advisory issued by the Union home ministry.
“There is no compulsion on us to give a reply. However, Mr Yeddyurappa has decided to do so and regain his image which was no doubt dented during the recent crisis. He has sought the assistance of several experts. A copy of the advisory was sent to Leader of the Opposition in the RS Arun Jaitley and a few other constitutional experts in Delhi on Wednesday. After receiving their views, the state will send a reply to the Centre,” sources close to the chief minister said.
The advisory is said to have highlighted issues raised by Mr Bhardwaj in his report to the Centre, including the BJP’s Operation Lotus to poach Opposition MLAs, the 2008 churches attacks and the failure of the government to act against illegal mining.
It has stressed the need to take corrective measures.
