The Karnataka High Court has decided to grant former state chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa bail in one of the two cases of graft.
However, Yeddyurappa cannot leave jail until he lands bail in both cases.
The first case, which led to an arrest warrant, is linked to alleged irregularities in denotification of government lands.
Also, Yeddyurappa was forced to step down in July by the party's central leadership in the wake of his indictment by a Lokayukta report on illegal mining.
