Yeddyurappa apologises for minister's road rage
The Karnataka Chief Minister, Mr B.S. Yeddyurappa, on Tuesday apologised for the alleged misconduct of the labour minister, Mr B.N. Bachegowda, after the letter had beaten up a businessman and his family for overtaking his car.
"I cannot tolerate such behaviour from any of my ministers. So, I apologise on behalf of the minister," Mr Yeddyurappa told reporters.
Mr Yeddyurappa said he would summon Mr Bachegowda and seek explanation.
According to report, Mr Bachegowda, who was returning to Bengaluru after hoisting the national flag in Hassan on Sunday, thrashed the businessman and his family at Maragondanahalli near Nelamangala, for overtaking his car on National Highway 48.
The minister allegedly used foul language during the incident.
