Woman & girl hurt in Pak firing

A woman and a 12-year-old girl were injured in firing by Pakistani troops in the Kerni area along the Line of Control in Poonch sector Thursday in fresh ceasefire violations, leading to retaliation by Indian troops.

A defence spokesman, Col. R.K. Palta, said Pakistani troops opened fire with small arms and automatic weapons on forward posts in Poonch around 12.05 pm. Poonch SSP Shamsher said 12-year-old Hassana and Noor Jahan, 32, were injured in firing.
