We stand by our t-solution promise: Azad
Union health minister and Congress general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, Ghulam Nabi Azad, on Thursday asserted that the UPA government stands by its commitment to solve the Telangana statehood issue as early as possible. He also thanked the employees of Telangana region for having called off the agitation.
“We stand by our promise to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible” said Mr Azad in the capital. He also added, “I thank the employees for having called of the strike.”
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh governor E.S.L. Narasimhan said that he had only seen newspaper reports about allegations made against Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee leader Mr Swamy Goud and that he had not received any formal complaints against him. Of late, charges of land grabbing have surfaced against Mr Goud.
