Victim is stable
The medical condition of the 22-year-old gangrape victim, who is being treated at the Jaslok Hospital on Peddar Road in south Bombay, is said to be “stable”.
Addressing the media on Friday, acting CEO and medical administrator of the hospital, Dr Taran Gianchandani, said, “The victim was brought to us at around 8 pm on Thursday. We are addressing the media only because it is a national issue, but the family has expressed its desire to maintain strict privacy, as is expected in such a tragic situation.” The victim has sustained internal and external injuries.
