Unitech MD: Didn’t doctor documents

Unitech group managing director Sanjay Chandra, chargesheeted in the 2G spectrum scam by the CBI, on Friday told the Delhi high court that he did not “manipulate” documents to make his eight companies eligible for the Unified Access Services licences. Seeking bail for his client Mr Chandra, noted criminal lawyer Ram Jethmalani

argued before Justice Ajit Bharihoke that the allegation that Unitech group companies were ineligible for the licences as their object clause did not mention telecom as one of their area of business is absurd and foolish.
