Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday threatened to attack houses of public representatives of the Congress if they remain silent over power-cut to farmers in Telangana.

The MPs also asked the state ministers, state legislators and MPs of Congress party to immediately resign to press for a separate Telangana state.

"We are asking Congress' public representatives not to cooperate with the chief minister who is deliberately cutting power supply to farmers of Telangana. If they don't cooperate, we will attack their houses," said KCR, as Rao is popularly known.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), which is spearheading the Telangana movement, has also given the call for laying siege to the houses of public representatives of the Congress party in Telangana Sep 29.

The government has imposed power-cut for farmers in Telangana due to the ongoing strike in the state-owned Singareni Collieries, which has affected coal production and impacted power generation in thermal power stations.

The domestic sector is already facing two to six-hour power cuts every day while authorities have also decided to declare one day in a week as a power holiday for industries and also impose four-hour cuts during peak time every day.

"If need be, cut the power to industry and domestic sector. We have to undergo some difficulties for achieving Telangana. I request industries and people to cooperate," KCR said.

The TRS chief accused Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy of a conspiracy against Telangana farmers to weaken the Telangana movement.

"The hydel power projects have more capacity because the reservoirs are full but they are not being used even to 50 per cent of their capacity," he said.

KCR advised Congress leaders not to visit Delhi again and immediately resign.

"How many times will you go to Delhi by saying this is the last visit. It has become a joke," he remarked.

The TRS leader said the movement was not going to relent and appealed to people to continue their fight till the separate state is achieved.
