Forecast rainfall for next 48 hours at:
East: Would occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Would occur at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal. Would occur at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.
North: Would occur at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Would occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. May occur at isolated places in east Rajasthan. Mainly dry weather would prevail in west Rajasthan.
Central: Would occur at isolated places in Chhattisgarh, may occur at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh. Mainly dry weather would prevail in Vidarbha.
Peninsula: Would occur at many places in coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa and Kerala. Would occur at a few places in Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka.
Would occur at isolated places in Gujarat region Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather would prevail in Saurashtra and Kutch.

Kolkata max 40.2. New Delhi max 41.9. Chennai max 42.2. Mumbai max 35.5
The southwest monsoon has set over Kerala today, the 5th June 2012.
Hot day condition prevailed in some parts of Tamil Nadu and remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh.
