Tiwari ‘son’ gives DNA test samples
The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Dia-gnostics has collected the blood samples of Rohit Shekar, 32, who claims to be the biological son of veteran Congress leader and former AP governor N.D. Tiwari.
CDFD experts also took the samples of Mr Shekar's mother Ujjwala Sharma in connection with the paternity suit. The duo came to the city to give their samples on Friday.
Shekhar had moved the Delhi High Court in 2008 by filing the paternity suit, seeking to declare Tiwari as his father.
He said: “I hope that the CDFD would ensure transparency in its report. Mr Tiwari and his supporters have played every dirty trick possible in court.”
"This is a prestigious lab and will take all due precaution and care to ensure that they maintain transparency. Tiwari and his supporters have played every dirty trick possible in court. I can give it to you in writing that Tiwari will try relentlessly to manipulate something or the other. He has been like that throughout."
Shekhar also added, "The lab will submit its report through a special messenger to the Registry of the Delhi High Court as soon as possible."
