Three Plus Two students held for stabbing welder

Three Plus Two students were arrested on Sunday morning for allegedly stabbing a welder after he reportedly assaulted them for teasing a girl near Kunrathur.

On Friday evening, Karthik, 20, accompanied his friend Vinoth, 20, to meet the latter’s lover near Kunrathur bus stop.

When Vinoth was chatting with the girl, three boys studying in Kunrathur Government Higher Secondary School passed lewd comments.

Apparently irritated over this, Karthik assaulted the trio who had come in a bike. The students left the place warning Karthik of dire consequences.

On Sunday morning, when Karthik was on his way to open his welding shop, the three boys who came in their school uniforms picked up a quarrel.

The boys then stabbed him with a kitchen knife and fled. Karthik was admitted to a private hospital where his condition is said to be stable. Kunrathur police nabbed the students from their school on Monday. The three teenagers were later sent to a juvenile home.
