Three held for cricket betting in Nellore

Nellore: Three persons were arrested for cricket betting in a gold shop at Kakarlavari Street here on Thursday night. According to Nellore town DSP P. Venkatnath Reddy, a worker in the gold shop, Kiran was the kingpin of a racket involved in cricket betting.

Police caught him red ha-nded along with two punters Brahmaiah and Rama-naiah during a raid on the shop on Thursday night. Police seized Rs 8,300 cash, two motorcycles, four cell phones and one TV set from the accused.
