Three charred to death

A couple and their one-and-half year old daughter were charred to death after fire broke out in a room in which they were living, police said.

Kalji Bihari (24), his wife Laxmi (22) and their daughter Munni were killed as fire broke out early this morning in Atika Industrial area, police said.

According to police, Kalji a native of Bihar's Ara district was working as a helper in the factory and was given a room in the factory premises where the fire broke out killing the couple on the spot, while their daughter was rushed to the civil hospital but was declared brought dead.

The cause of the fire is not yet known though prima facie it was due to a short circuit, ACP J.T. Chudasama said.
