Terminated IPL teams to go to courts
New Delhi, Oct. 10: Leave aside for the moment the kind of hit the brand equity of Indian Premier League will take following BCCI’s move to scrap two profitable franchises for alleged offences in revealing ownership. The bigger question is how Sunday’s development will impact the fourth edition of the competition that is slated to begin in few months.
Both Kings XI and Rajasthan Royals say they won’t shy away from dragging the Board of Control for Cricket in India to court if negotiations fail. If they do, it could at the very least, put IPL-4 in jeopardy.
