Tension in Orissa industrial town after death of worker

Tension prevailed in the industrial town Jajpur, nearly 100 km from here, after body of a worker was found near the coal yard of the in Jindal Stainless plant on Monday morning.

The deceased, identified as Rajib Kumar Das of Pattamundai in Kendrapada district, was working as a supervisor in the plant.
Das’ death triggered surcharged atmosphere at the plant site as the agitated labourers resorted to cease work. They demanded fair monetary compensation for the bereaved family members of the deceased.
Besides, they also demanded adequate safety measures for the workers engaged in the plant.
