Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders warn Kiran Kumar Reddy, Dinesh Reddy
Hyderabad: Those in favour of bifurcation came out strongly against the APNGOs rally and warned that the government would be held responsible for any untoward incidents at the APNGOs’ meeting at Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Saturday.
TRS, a constituent of TJAC, also demanded the resignation of DGP V. Dinesh Reddy following the Supreme Court direction to CBI to conduct a probe on his assets. Either he resigns, they said, or else the Governor should sack him.
TJAC, TRS, BJP and other T-organisations urged all sections, including commercial establishments, educational institutes, transport and other institutions in Telangana to observe Saturday’s bandh.
TRS floor leader in the Assembly Etala Rajender, criticised Chief Minister, N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s anti-Telangana stance and his granting permission to the APNGOs rally, which was against Telangana.
“Telangana ministers should protest against the CM’s bias. The Telangana process has begun after great sacrifices. But the CM, along with Seemandhra leaders, is trying to stall the process by stoking anti-T flames,” he said.
Rajender said SCs and STs supporting bifurcation in places like Guntur and elsewhere were denied permission to air their views or come out openly, while over here, anti-Telangana activisits were being encouraged by the government.
Undeterred, Seemandhra leaders said that the APNGOs meet was one of the multiple ammunitions used to stall the Telangana process.
“We have no objection if they fight for employment rights, but we will not keep quiet if they oppose Telangana,” TRS MLA T. Harish Rao said.
