Team Anna revamp only after new charter framed

After facing attacks and criticism over financial irregularities, Team Anna announced Sunday that a constitution would be formed for its anti-corruption body and that any member found involved in wrongdoing would be dealt with as per the constitution. The team will be revamped after the constitution is formed.
This was decided after core committee members Arvind Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi and Prashant Bhushan met anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare at the latter’s home village of Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra’s Ahmed-nagar district on Sunday. Mr Hazare, now observing a vow of silence, later issued a release which was read out by Mr Kejriwal at a press conference.
Mr Hazare decided that his core committee would remain the same till the constitution is formed. “A constitution will be prepared for future agitations. This constitution will have provisions on who can be a member of the core committee, working committee, and the character of these members,” the communiqué spelt out.
