TDP blames Cong for no action
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday vehemently attacked the Congress of not doing anything to resolve the crisis following the arrest of its chief Chandrababu Naidu. Talking to reporters here, the party’s Rajya Sabha MP Mysura Reddy, questioned why the congress was unable to do anything when both the states as also the Centre was being governed by the them. He ridiculed the Andhra Pradesh chief minister Rosaiah for not taking any initiative to get Mr Naidu freed.
The TDP chief is languishing in judicial custody over the Babhli dam controversy, and that has forced four MPs of his party to land in Delhi and seek the co-operation of the Opposition leaders over the arrest and the intransigence of the congress government in Maharashtra. Mysura Reddy, a Rajya Sabha MP along with satyanarayan Chaudhary, Narayan Rao and Laljan Basha, an ex-MP met almost all the national leaders ranging from Mr L.K. Advani, Ms Sushma Swaraj, Mr Prakash Karat, Mr Staram Yechury, Mr A.B. Bardhan, Mr Sudhakar Reddy, Mr Sharad Yadav and Ajit Singh.
