Tamil Nadu congress to feel pulse of voters in districts
Chennai: The Congress party has perhaps swung into poll mode pretty early.
A week after its national vice president Rahul Gandhi held a national-level brainstorming session, diktats have been sent to the party across the state to hold ‘propaganda’ meetings briefing people about the programmes of Congress led UPA-II government.
Describing the meeting an offshoot of brainstorming done by Rahul Gandhi, state Congress chief B.S. Gnanadesikan advised the party rank and file in TN to hold meetings in their districts on different dates.
Besides assessing the efficacy of the central funded schemes in villages, the party functionaries were also instructed to identify people’s problems of their areas during the meeting. An agenda ought to be prepared and sent to the TNCC chief about the probable solutions discussed for people’s problems in the meetings, the statement added.
