T: Action committee calls for Hyderabad, Secunderabad bandh on Friday
The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad will probably see a total shutdown on September 30, Friday as the agitation seeking statehood for Telangana intensifies.
The Telangana Joint Action Committee has called for a one-day bandh in both the cities.
Transport will be paralysed as auto drivers are set to take part in the bandh. The Telangana Auto Drivers JAC (TADJAC) comprising 20 unions has appealed to all auto drivers in the twin cities to participate in the bandh.
RTC buses have already been off the roads.
MMTS services will remain cancelled between Secunderabad and Falaknuma from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon. All educational institutions, private and government, will remain closed.

Forces have been deployed at each block of the Secretariat, tightening the security. There was a demonstration at J block for a brief period on Thursday.
Telangana JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram, who called for the one-day city bandh a few days ago, appealed to all pro-Telangana organisations, student and employee associations to actively take part in the bandh.
