Suspected gas leak at Dr Reddy's labs kills two workers

A suspected nitrogen gas leak has claimed the lives of two workers at a drug-making unit of Dr Reddy's labs in the Bolarum area of Hyderabad.

No one else was injured, the company said in a statement, adding it would give further details on completion of the ongoing investigation. Reports claim an employee and a contractor died in the accident.

Shares, meanwhile, of India's second-largest drug maker by sales, which fell more than four percent, recouped some losses to trade 0.7 per cent lower at 1,676 rupees in a firm Mumbai market.
