The BJP appealed to the President that Mr Bh ardwaj should be recalled as he has âlost both legal and moral authority to discharge his role as the Presidentâs appointee.â In a statement issued, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Ms Sushma Swaraj said Mr Bharadwaj âhas thrown all established norms to the winds by his highly objectionable communication to the Honâble Speaker of the state Assembly.â The senior BJP leader alleged that the âtone, tenor and contentâ of his letter to Speaker made it clear that the âgovernor is determined to interfere with the legislative process and infringe on the authority of the Speaker.â
a constitutional functionary, namely, the Speaker.â
Ms Swaraj further said âthe governor has in effect, threatened that if the Honâble Speaker does not act in a particular manner as directed by the Raj Bhavan, the outcome of the Vote of Confidence in the Assembly scheduled for Monday October 11, 2010 will not be âacceptableâ.â
