Sushma becomes `PM’ for five minutes
New Delhi: BJP leader Sushma Swaraj caused some amusement on Tuesday when she sat in the Prime Minister’s seat in the Lok Sabha.
During an adjournment at 11.15 am, Sushma Swaraj sat next to home minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who had returned after a surgery, to enquire about his well-being. That seat is meant for the PM, who was not in the House.
She sat in the PM’s seat for five minutes. Congress president Sonia Gandhi was sitting next to Shinde. Other leaders also spoke with Shinde but did not sit on the hot seat.
