Supreme Court stays Babri Masjid-Ramjnmabhoomi verdict
The Supreme Court on Monday on stayed the Allahabad High Court's verdict on the Babri Masjid-Ramjanmbhoomi disputed site by which it had directed the partition of the site equally between three contending parties.
The Apex Court also criticised the verdict saying the partition had 'opened a litany of litigation'. It also added that the verdict was 'strange'.
SC also directed that no religious activity be performed on the 67-acre area adjacent to the disputed site.
