Sun TV COO sent to jail; One more cheating complaint filed
One more criminal complaint was lodged with police against Sun Pictures Chief Operating Officer Hansraj Saxena as a court remanded him to judicial custody on expiry of two-days police custody in a cheating case.
Salem-based Shanmugavelu of Murugan Films filed the complaint with K.K. Nagar Police here alleging that Saxena owed Rs 42 lakh to him and was intimidating him when he demanded its return, police said.
Saxena was arrested on Sunday following a complaint filed by film distributor T.S. Selvaraj that he had not paid Rs 83 lakh that was due to him and intimated him.
A metropolitan court here had on Tuesday remanded Saxena to two-days police custody but rejected his plea for allowing the presence of his lawyer during interrogation.
At the end of the two-days custodial interrogation, Saxena was produced in the court which remanded him to judicial custody this evening.
