Suitcase causes flutter at airport ahead of HM arrival

An unclaimed suitcase at the domestic airport here, discovered shortly before Union Home Minister P Chidambaram's arrival here, caused a flutter on Monday.

The Home Minister was scheduled to arrive from Madurai. The unclaimed suitcase sparked an alarm with the security agencies cordoning off the area with bomb disposal squad personnel checking it, airport officials said.

However, no suspicious article was found in the suitcase and officials said it could have been left behind by some air passenger, they said.
