Student arrested for sending lewd sms to teacher
A student who has passed plus-2 and awaiting engineering admission has been arrested on charges of sending lewd SMS to a teacher and several other women.
In her complaint to the commissioner of police Sanjay Mathur, a teacher working in a private school sought action against an unidentified person who had been harassing her by sending vulgar messages and calling her over cellphone and indulging in dirty talk.
The cyber crime wing headed by inspector Jeevanandam traced the SMSes and calls to a student of South Gate in the city.
Investigations revealed that he had been using over 10 SIM cards in a cellphone had been in the habit of sending obscene messages to many women.
Having secured 1,100 marks in plus-2 examinations, the boy had been waiting for counselling to get admitted in an engineering college. Police arrested him and seized two cellphones and 9 SIM cards from him.
