STF detectives pick up youth from Kolkata

The connection of West Bengal and its capital Kolkata with the blast outside Delhi high court is widening day by day as a youth was detained by the special task force (STF) of the Kolkata police on suspicion of his link with the email episode. Sunny Sharma, the suspect, was picked up by the STF detectives from Kolkata on September 9 evening acting on a tip-off from the National

Investigation Agency (NIA), according to police sources.
Taking charge of the investigation into the blast, the NIA found that two of the four emails were sent from the same cellphone in Kolkata, official sources disclosed. Tracking down the cellphone number, the STF caught him for questioning. Using his cellphone, a Blackberry handset, Sharma had sent the second and fourth emails from his gmail account on behalf of the banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM) claiming responsibility for the explosion, the STF believes.
The technical experts of the STF are now examining his cellphone, the email account used to send the mails and his two other email accounts after questioning him for the past 72 hours at an undisclosed location. An NIA team is likely to fly to Kolkata to question him, sources hinted. When contacted, deputy commissioner of police (STF) Bastab Baidya, however, denied of detaining any suspect in connection with the blast.
In another development, an injured man, in his late 30s was arrested at Bagnan in Howrah for his suspected connection with the blast. The state police has informed the Delhi police and NIA about the arrest, sources revealed.
At around 11.30 am, Mohammed Afzal Taiyaab went to Bagnan Grameen Hospital for treatment. While examining him, the doctors found a finger of one of his hands amputated and burn injuries on his face. Without taking any chance, the hospital authorities called up the police.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
