Sports instructor writes vulgar letter to student, arrested
Police have arrested a sports instructor in a city-based school for allegedly writing an indecent letter to a female student of the same school, police said.
Vijay Naidu, the teacher, who was employed with the Holy Cross School here, was arrested for writing a letter to a student of class 12, Senior Police Superintendent Deepanshu Kabra told PTI.
"When the girl student was returning home from her coaching classes along with her friends and classmates, Naidu spotted her and started talking to her. After a while, he handed over a letter to the girl," Kabra said.
"The teacher also followed the girl to her home and started complimenting the girl to her mother. When the girl later showed the letter to her family, they could not believe it, as there were vulgar things written in it," the police officer said.
Even though, the family members at first did not want to register a complaint against the teacher, they did register it later.
Police said that the Naidu had indulged in indecent behaviour with the girl students in the school earlier, even though none of them had come forward then to complain, fearing ignominy.
The state capital has seen a rise in the cases of eve-teasing against schoolgirls. A schoolgirl named Neha had recently committed suicide after getting tired of being teased and police had even arrested two boys in this connection.
