Special courts to try violence during stir: SC
Taking a dig at politicians, including ministers, who lead agitations which often turn violent and cause huge damage to public and private property, the Supreme Court indicated Tuesday that special courts might be set up across the country for speedy trials and “punitive” damages.
A top court bench said: “We will order mandatory prosecution of those who give calls for rail and rasta roko. Cases against them should be disposed of in three months. We intend to pass orders for creation of special courts for this purpose.”
