SP state executive dissolved
UP chief minister and Samajwadi Party state president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday dissolved the party’s state executive and executives of associated cells with immediate effect.
According to SP spokesman Rajendra Choudhury, Mr Akhilesh Yadav has dissolved state executive and executives of associated cells, except state presidents, with immediate effect.
The move is a precursor to reorganisation of the party’ state and district units. According to sources, Mr Akhilesh Yadav wants to reconstitute the party organisation by replacing those who have become ministers with young blood. There is a possibility that members of his core team who helped him script the party’s stupendous success in recent elections may be given bigger responsibilities in the party organisation.
Mr Yadav is expected to continue holding the post of state party president though reports suggest that he may appoint a working president or a senior vice-president to attend to day-to-day working in the party.
Party sources said Akhilesh Yadav was upset at the manner in which partymen continue to misbehave in public despite warnings by him and party president Mulayam Singh Yadav.
