SP man shoots at Jhansi BDO

A Samajwadi Party worker, Bharat Singh Yadav, shot a block development officer in Jhansi district Sunday night. The reason? BDO S.K. Srivastava had got a case registered against him for trying to rig the 2010 Legislative Council elections. The police on Monday arrested Bharat Singh Yadav.

The BDO, now being treated at a local hospital, said Bharat Yadav had vowed revenge when the case was registered.
