Son of former AP minister among three killed in road mishap

Three persons, including son of a former Andhra Pradesh minister, were killed in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Medak district on Tuesday evening, police said.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm when their car, en route to Patancheru from Gandipeta, hit a road-divider and overturned, they said. The deceased were identified as Congress MLA and former state minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy's son Pratik Reddy (around 20 years) and his two friends.

"The three died on the spot. Another occupant of the car injured in the crash has been admitted to a nearby hospital," Medak District Superintendent of Police P J Victor said.
