Sleuths visit 16 U.P. districts for documents

The Economic Offences Wing on Monday started collecting documents in connection with its probe into alleged financial irregularities in a trust run by Union minister Salman Khurshid.

“These are not raids as is being reported by TV channels. EOW teams are collecting documents at various levels, including state, divisional and district headquarters, as a part of the investigation,” EOW director-general Subrat Tripathi told reporters.
The UP government had directed the EOW to probe charges of misappropriation of funds by the Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust, run by Mr Salman Khurshid and his wife Louise.
