Shah Rukh Khan fined whopping Rs 1.5 lakh for excess baggage
King Khan's Holland holiday came to an ugly finish after the actor was stopped at Mumbai airport and fined a whopping 1.5 lakhs for carrying over-the-limit luggage and for duty.
According to a Mumbai tabloid Shah Rukh Khan, 44, was stopped at Customs officials at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for carrying over '20 bags'.
The My Name is Khan star was returning from a family holiday to Holland and London.
There was even a routing interrogation and the actor was then fined for the excess luggage.
"Yes, he was interrogated but it is a routine thing. Whenever people bring stuff they have to pay duty on it. It was nearly Rs 1.5 lakh and the interrogation took time because he was carrying a lot of stuff," Customs commissioner, P M Govande was quaoted as saying.
